	Dr. Tylock is proud to offer the VISX Star S3 ActiveTrak excimer laser in his on-site LASIK surgery suite. Seven nationally & laser certified technicians in an environmentally controlled room maintain the VISX Star S3 ActiveTrak. Dr. Tylock was one of approximately 10 surgeons in the USA to be granted an Individual Device Exemption (IDE) by the Food & Drug Administration to study and perform the LASIK procedure on a laser specifically designed for LASIK. VISX Incorporated presented Dr. Tylock the VISX Star award for being one of the top 100 most experienced laser vision correction surgeons in the USA in 1998 & 1999. Dr. Tylock was among the first surgeons in the country to perform the ALK procedure, the immediate predecessor of LASIK.
