Dr. Samuelson specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and laser correction of refractive disorders. He has a consultative practice located in the Park Avenue Medical Building in Minneapolis, adjacent to the Phillips Eye Institute. Additionally, he is a glaucoma consultant for the Department of Ophthalmology at Regions Hospital (formerly St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center) and Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Samuelson is a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. He is actively involved in the training of ophthalmology residents and fellows. Dr. Samuelson received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency training at the University of South Florida and his subspecialty training at Wills Eye Hospital at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Samuelson has had an active role in the leadership of ophthalmology.
