	Board certified by AAO in 1978, and FACS in the 80s. Began refractive surgery 1982 (RK) epikeratophakia in 1982. MKM, HKM, Keratophakia in 1984, PTK in 1994. PRK in 1994 and LASIK in 1997. Graduated from University of Nebraska School of Medicine 1973, Internship at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit 1973-74, Residency at the Henry Ford Hospital, and US Navy 1978-80. Dr. Schlichtemeier has performed more refractive surgery than all the ophthalmologists in Nebraska combined.
