John M Haley, MD

	Dr. Haley is a native of Oak Cliff and was educated in the Dallas schools with a B.S. from SMU and M.D. from Southwestern Medical School. During the Vietnam conflict, he served as a Naval Flight Surgeon. Dr. Haley completed his ophthalmology residency at the Naval Hospital, Oakland, and University of California, San Francisco. He served as an eye surgeon for teh International Eye Foundation in Ethiopia and has been in practice in Garland, Texas, since 1976. He is a board certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served as Chief of Staff at Garland Community Hospital. He is a member of the Diagnostic Procedure and Terminology Reimbursement Committee and Health Policy Committee of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Chairperson of the Texas Ophthalmology Association Liasion Committee to Third Party Payors and Peer Review Agencies and a private collaborative consultant to Blue Cross Blue Shield.
