Anthony J Lombardo, MD, Ph.D.

	Anthony J. Lombardo, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified, subspecialty-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive, cataract, and corneal surgery. As an undergraduate, he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed both his Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees at the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he graduated cum laude. Following a one-year internal medicine internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, he completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Subsequently, he was selected for an additional prestigious one-year subspecialty fellowship program in refractive surgery at Minnesota Eye Consultants. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lombardo also serves as an instructor to train other ophthalmologists in LASIK and cataract surgery and has served as an investigator for several F.D.A. clinical studies.
