Steven Ofner, M.D. has been practicing ophthalmology in Eugene since 1989 and is one of the key principles in our goal for excellence in eye care. After receiving his M.D. degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine in 1984, Dr. Ofner continued for four years at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for his residency in ophthalmology. Widely published and often called upon for presentations related to various aspects of Ophthalmology, Dr. Ofner is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and National Board of Medical Examiners and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refrative Surgery. He is the only ophthalmologist in the area fellowship trained in glaucoma. He specializes in no-stitch cataract surgery, refractive surgery including PRK, LASIK, and RK, glaucoma surgery, diabetic eye disease, and comprehensive family eye care for all ages.
