K. Dwight Hendricks, MD

	Dr. Hendricks received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1979. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Kansas in 1983 and has been in private practice in Kansas City since then. He is on staff at Providence Medical Center and Truman Medical Center. He performs LASIK eye surgery at Doctors Laser Sight Center in Johnson County. Dr. Hendricks has been involved with refractive surgery since 1992 starting with radial keratotomy. When the excimer laser was introduced in 1995, he then started performing PRK procedures. In 1998 he converted to LASIK, which in his opinion is the best refractive procedure to date that gives the safest, fastest, and most pain free visual recovery of all available procedures. Dr. Hendricks LASIK outcomes have been outstanding and he has never had a vision threatening complication. Dr. Hendricks also has an active general ophthalmic practice and performs cataract surgery and corneal transplantations
