Neal A Sher, MD, FACS

	Dr. Sher is a specialist in refractive and corneal surgery concentrating on laser vision correction. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and a founding member of the Phillips Eye Institute where he has served as Chief of Ophthalmology. He is a senior partner at Eye Care Associates in Minneapolis,. Dr. Sher maintains an active refractive surgery practice as well as teaching and lecturing worldwide. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 scientific papers, book chapters and monographs. Dr. Sher has edited two textbooks on refractive surgery. He also authored a monograph on excimer laser surgery and postoperative care for the AAO as well as an Atlas of Refractive Surgery for the AAO. He has been a consultant for a number of companies in the refractive surgery area and hold four patents. He was honored by General David Petraeus in 2008 for his work providing laser vision correction at no charge for deploying members of the military.
